Everest Region Treks
Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp Trek
Trek Grade: C (Challenging)
Trek Duration: 14 Days
Hotel in KTM: 4 Nights
Season: Feb. to May & Sept. to Nov.

ImageThis trek in Khumbu goes through the Gokyo Valley and over Chola Pass. It encompasses some of Khumbu’s most dramatic scenery. This trek combines two famous treks into one. When we reach Gokyo, we have a panoramic view of massive peaks like Cho Oyu (8,155m.) Gyachungkang (7,922m.) and some great glaciers, mainly the Ngozumba Glacier. After crossing Chola Pass, we can have a close view of Kalapattar (5,555m.) and peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori & Makalu. Finally, we approach the Base Camp of Everest. This is a strenuous trek and should only be attempted by those who are fit and experienced. The Sherpas, whose hospitality is world renowned, are our constant companions. The Gokyo or Upper Dudh Koshi Valley offers a fine and arguably even more spectacular route into the heart of the Khumbu than the popular direct trail up the Khumbu Valley. This is especially true when combined with a crossing of the Chola Pass to Lobuche. As with the conventional approach to Everest Base Camp, the stages recommended on this trek are purposely short to give you time to acclimatize.

Gokyo Lake Nagpa La Over Renjo Pass Trek
Trek Grade: C (Challenging)
Trek Duration: 18 Days
Hotel in KTM: 4 Nights
Season: Feb. to May & Sept. to Nov.

This trek lies at the border side of the Tibet and is a very remote area. Through the trails of Nangpala Trans Himalayan business happens in caravan style. People from Tibet walk all the way down to Namche to sell their home made stuffs and salt to trade. The most wonderful experience would be to explore this area during the end of monsoon season when flowers pop out in Nangpala, giving the trekkers the illusion that they are walking on textured carpet. The strong fragrances of flowers refresh the mind and feels heavenly to camp there and have a very sweet sleep at night. The caravan-style business, it’s remoteness, the biggest glaciers in the whole of the Khumbu region and spectacular views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Oyo are the spectacular features in this trek. The newly opened Renjo Pass crossing from Gokyo to Nangpala is a breathtakingly beautiful walk with mountains surrounding us.
