Mera Peak (6,461m) crossing Amphu Lapcha with Climbing
Trek Grade: D (Difficult - only experienced climbers)
Trek Duration: 19 Days
Hotel in KTM: 4 Nights
Season: March to May & Sept to Nov.

Mera is one of the wildest and less discovered area in the Khumbu Valley despite the Valley being well known to trekkers, climbers and nature lovers from the whole world. Mera Peak (6,654m), the most beautiful peak in the region is one of the fabulous attractions in this region. Another exciting and charming reason to visit this region is to cross the Amphu Lapcha Pass (5,245m), while being in the lap of Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Makalu and Baruntse peaks.

We will take the Twin Otter (Canadian-made aircraft) flight service to Lukla from Kathmandu to start the trek and we climb Mera Peak first. After reaching the top of Mera Peak, we continue through the Hinku Valley, cross the Amphu Lapcha and reach the lap of Amadablam. From here we head for Tengboche and return to Lukla through Sherpa villages and fly back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu. Hotel.
Day 02 City tour of Kathmandu. Hotel.
Day 03 Fly to Lukla then trek to Puyan (2,850m). O/N at camp.
Day 04 Trek to Pangkongma (2,957m). O/N at camp.
Day 05 Trek to Chalen Kharka (3,200m). O/N at camp.
Day 06 Trek to Mausam Khakrka (3,691m). O/N at camp.
Day 07 Trek to Gandishand (4,060m). O/N at camp.
Day 08 Trek to Dig Kharka (3,636m). O/N at camp.
Day 09 Acclimatization day at Khare (5,000m). O/N at camp.
Day 10 Mera La. O/N at Camp.
Day 11 Rest day at Mera La. O/N at camp.
Day 12 Mera Peak climbing (6,461m). O/N at camp.
Day 13 Trek to Hinku valley (5,040m). O/N at camp.
Day 14 Trek to Panch Pokhari (5,420m). O/N at camp.
Day 15 Reserve day. O/N at camp.
Day 16 Trek to Chukhung (4,730m). O/N in camp.
Day 17 Trek to Thyangbuche (3,867m). O/N at camp.
Day 18 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). O/N at camp.
Day 19 Trek to Phakdingma (2,650m). O/N at camp.
Day 20 Trek to Lukla (2,850m). O/N at camp.
Day 21 Fly Lukla/Kathmandu. O/N at hotel.
Day 22 City sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. O/N at hotel.
Day 23 Transfer to airport for onward destination.

Cost: US$ 1100/- per person
